Email Alerts

Send event notifications directly to your team members’ email addresses. Every email is customisable. Choose which sections to include and what content they show.

How it works

Email is a first-party integration. API Alerts sends emails via Amazon SES on your behalf. No external account needed.

  1. Add an Email destination to a router in your workspace
  2. Choose which team members receive emails (all members, channel members, or specific people)
  3. Customise the email template with the Event Designer
  4. Events matching the router’s pattern trigger emails to the selected recipients

Event Designer

The email destination includes a visual template editor. You control:

  • Subject line. Customise with template variables like {{workspace}} or {{event}}.
  • Body sections. Add, remove, and reorder sections. Each section has a label and a value template.
  • Template variables. Insert event data using {{title}}, {{message}}, {{data.name}}, and more.

Sections with blank values are automatically omitted from the email, so your notifications stay clean.

Recipient options

Choose who receives email alerts for each destination:

Get started

  1. Open your workspace in the dashboard
  2. Navigate to a router and add an Email destination
  3. Configure recipients and customise the template
  4. Send a test event to see the email in action
