Push Notifications
Every event you send to API Alerts is delivered as a push notification to your team’s phones. It’s the default destination — enabled automatically when you create a workspace.
Zero configuration
Push notifications are implicit. You don’t need to set up a router or configure a destination. Every event sent to a channel is automatically pushed to all team members assigned to that channel.
- A team member installs the iOS or Android app
- They sign in and join your workspace
- They’re assigned to channels
- Events sent to those channels trigger push notifications
What you see
Each notification shows:
- Title — the event title (if provided)
- Message — the event message body
- Link — tap the notification to open the link URL directly
Channel-based routing
Push notifications respect your channel assignments. If a team member is only assigned to the “payments” channel, they won’t receive notifications for events sent to “deployments”. This keeps notifications relevant — no alert fatigue.
Works alongside other destinations
Push is separate from the router/destination pipeline. When you add email, Slack, or webhook destinations to a router, push notifications still fire independently for all channel members. You don’t need to configure push as a router destination.
